Qualification

Engineering in Biomedical Technology from reputed Institutions, preferably with Syllabus involving core Biomedical Engg with minimal exposure to Interface Electronics and Instrumentation

Overview

The Role is a Hands-on Engineering Position with at least 5~7 years of experience in bringing up new Sensors & Transducer technologies as applicable to the Company’s Wearable Aspirations and emerging Market Trends.   The summary of responsibilities include
–          Work on Biomarkers and Diagnostic Correlations
–          Work on Optimizing Contact-based and Optical Bio Sensing
–          Work on new possibilities in Bio Sensing
–          Work with collaborating Institutions on Patient Monitoring / Analysis
–          Work on defining Test Protocols for Testing Prototypes
–          Perform Signal Analysis of derived Data
–          Derive Signal Interpretations to facilitate efficient Algorithm Development
This role is expected to work hands-on in the above areas to bring visibility to new Sensory possibilities w.r.t Biomedical detection and wellness.   
The role shall be responsible to coordinate and actively participate with Collaborating Institutions to Test Prototypes,  Build Patient Data,  Analyze the same to create Models, co-work with Partnering Teams to design, develop & test the Software Algorithms to perfection
The role shall also scout for new horizons in Biomedical Spectrum in order to generate use-cases

Major Deliverables / Tasks

1.       Discovering New Possibilities

–          New Biomarkers, Sensory mechanisms & Diagnostic Possibilities
–          Deep dives on Use-cases based on emerging trends
2.       Sensor Development
The role should perform the below towards meeting the above objectives :
–          Identify appropriate sensors for specific use-cases
–          Design the Specifications of Sensors & Interface Electronics
–          Develop blueprint for both Contact based and Optical sensory Modules
–          Co-work with the Hardware/Firmware teams to bring out workable Sensor Solutions

3.       Reports and Documentation

Contribution to projects

Key actions and decisions (Long term and Short term)

1. Work Study

– Conducts Method study to standardizing the operational work content in Gemba
– Conducts Time study Quantifying (observed time study using stop watch) the standardized work content in Gemba
– Performs PMTS – BasicMOST (Evaluating the normal time for standard work content motions)

2. Layout Planning

– Ensures number of machine calculations as per cycle time

3. Ergonomics

– Ensures Workstation design as per ergonomics

– Conduct studies as per ergonomics software-s (Example V3)

4. Manpower Planning

– Performs Manpower calculations as per processes

5. Material Handling Design

– Designs material handling system – (Material Transfer Interval, and quantity in same interval matching )

7. Data Analysis

– Tests OEE, Creates OEE Dashboard for MES and fixes OEE parameters
– Collects and analyzes data (textual and Numerical) generated through simulation and generates the insights
– Performs Predictive modelling using Python
– Performs Statistical analysis using MATLAB or SPSS
