What you’ll do at Ather:

  • Explore the processes w.r.t part layout and finalize the process based on PUGH matrix with PQCD criteria primarily of Sheet metal process but having additional inputs to SPOT welding, machining and associated processes.
  • Draft initial high level process flow diagrams and indicate the broad level process time required for each process to create a balanced process.
  • Have good knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, press brake forming, Spin forming, deep drawing, stretch forming, Progressive forming would be a added advantage.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Thorough understanding and design knowledge of vehicle electrical components / peripherals like Lamps, switches, horn, motor controller, electronic components, harness, power cables, locksets etc.
  • Rich experience in peripheral component design, microcontroller / microprocessor design, Gerber and PCB design, FMEAs and improvements, component / box build manufacturing processes and SMT, supplier EoL and product traceability requirements
  • Working experience in different types of ECU design, FW development and communication protocols
  • Experience in problem attribution & definition, root cause analysis and countermeasure validation
  • Ability to lead a team of highly competent engineers in the said domain
  • Working knowledge understanding of quality tools and methods (PPAP, 8D, SPC, DVP and build planning)

What you bring to Ather:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Electrical engineering or equivalent from institutes of repute.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in new product development and experience is new product launch of at least 3 products.

Sr. QA Engineer Mechanical

You’ll be our: SQA Engineer (Mechanical)

You’ll be based at: IBC, Bangalore & Hosur Plant

You’ll be aligned with: Head SQA / Lead SQA

You’ll be a member of: Process Excellence & Supplier Quality

What You’ll do at ather:

  • Lead RCA on field failures due to process and Approve RCA Reports & CAPA
  • Record bugs and deviations and implement appropriate containment, RCA, corrective and preventive actions to assure the targeted manufacturing quality & yields.
  • Use knowledge of 2 Wheeler assembly, testing and inspection to help execute Supplier improvements.
  • Support swimlane member to control the Manufacturing Quality stage-gates across APDS ensuring quality is built early into the Design stage.
  • Drive Supplier Development Quality activities using DMAIC and Kaizen.
  • Drive improvements in supplier processes during the PPAP and Supplier process audits.
  • Work closely with the Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Management and Design Engineering teams to ensure highest levels of Manufacturing Quality.
  • Line stabilization, APQP and PPAP.
  • Periodic review of Supplier FMEA (Design, Process), Sustenance of improvement actions.

Here’s What we Are Looking for:

  • Knowledge on complete Design of Process and Manufacturing Quality preferably for automotive projects.
  • Expertise in 8D, 7QC tools, DMAIC, PPAP, and APQP
  • Advanced know-how of DFA, DFM, DFT & FMEA (Design, Process, Equipment)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver quality output to meet the deadlines and handle details without losing sight of the bigger picture.

You Bring to Ather:

  • B.E or equivalent with Specialization in Automobile / Mechanical/ECE/Electrical
  • 2~5 years of relevant experience in Supplier Quality – Quality Functions of Automobiles
  • Hands-0n FMEA (Design, Process, Equipment), APQP, SPC, PPAP.
  • Basic knowledge of commodities like Casting / Machining/Plastics / Fabrication etc.

Sr. QA Engineer Electronics

What you’ll do at Ather:

  • SPOC for the Supplier Quality Sustenance for the assigned Suppliers or commodity (Electricals, Electronics, EMS etc).
  • End to end Quality Development of Components from Engineering to Suppliers including testers for Charging Infra & other parts
  • Work with the Swimlane to implement preventive process controls to embed Quality from Development to Launch.
  • Risk identification both in Product and Process, highlighting and suggesting the activity for closure.
  • Conducting Pre-PPAP audit & Closing Process audit , PPAP and ISA NCs and Risks mitigation in the Program review meetings.
  • Child part complaint handling, effective RCA & action deployment in a timely manner.
  • Supplier performance monitoring, upgradation & release of monthly scorecard.
