Department: Quality Assurance
Key Purpose of the Job (Position Summary)
The position is responsible to ensure 100% quality of product as per the plant process standard, thereby eliminating the waste, defectives & rework and rejections. Addressing and resolving in process quality issues raised through customer complaints and improvement of in process quality. The role holder is also responsible to implement quality initiatives, improvement activities and special projects at the plants in alignment to quality strategy and guidelines.
KEY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor and manage customer complaints and provide corrective action to avoid recurrences.
Investigate the technical aspects of customer complaints and provide reports to Plant Head for remedial actions.
Participate in quality related discussions with Customers and facilitate cascading of the concerns to line heads and other stakeholders in plant

- Coordinate with User and ensure timely evaluation of prospective suppliers/contractors.
- Making proper comparison and bid evaluation documents with benchmarking of market rates, past orders, similar orders placed in other units.
- Participating in and supporting negotiations of all contracts.
- Timely preparation of PO/contract documents.
- Ensuring timely delivery of materials and services in accordance with contract terms.
- To maintain comprehensive database of all suppliers and contractors that may be useful for projects and operations phase.

Planning
Support the GM – Industrial Engineering in planning of the annual targets for cost saving and resource optimization for the plant
Schedule and plan the efficiency and productivity studies for the plant including doing the required coordination with other departments at the plant, planning the resources required and scheduling
Provide inputs to the GM – Industrial Engineering for planning of the improvement projects at the plant and preparing the presentation of the project plan.
