What you’ll do at Ather:

Actively participate in setting product quality targets and standards for the project
Conduct DFMEAs during product development, identify risks, recommend mitigation plan & validate effectiveness
Define cases for simulation on based on usage / change contents, identify risks & evaluate from design reviews & other DFx studies (DFA/DFM/DFS) as part of design adequacy check
Understand customer requirements & product requirements and ensure test strategy is sufficient achieve reliability & durability targets (Component & pack level) with PV Lab
Effective test build planning to ensure robust validation capturing all the variations possible in production
Drive RCA and corrective actions for all bugs identified during development process using 8D methodology
Actively participate in PFMEA sessions to ensure design requirements are met in process and feedback to design based on process bottlenecks – bridge between Dev & Ops worlds
Actively participate in supplier audits during PPAP audits and ensure all product quality requirements are met
Lead customer complaint resolution by defining problems, prioritising with CFT and driving resolution through structured 8D method
Ensure failure/issues/lessons learned are forwarded effectively to the new product development

Here’s what we are looking for:

Thorough understanding of vehicle electrical components / peripherals like Lamps, switches, horn, motor controller, electronic components, harness, power cables, locksets etc.
Working experience in peripheral component design, microcontroller / microprocessor design, Gerber and PCB design, FMEAs and improvements, component / box build manufacturing processes and SMT, supplier EoL and product traceability requirements
Experience in problem attribution & definition, root cause analysis and countermeasure validation
Working knowledge understanding of quality tools and methods (PPAP, 8D, SPC, DVP and build planning)
What you’ll bring to Ather:

Bachelor / Masters degree in electrical engineering or equivalent from institute of repute
3-5 years of relevant experience in vehicle electricals working in large 2W / 4W OEMs
