What you’ll do at Ather:

New Product Development:1. Ensure design reviews and DFMEA are completed at appropriate stages of new product development for mechanical systems (Suspensions, Brakes & Tyres)2. Ensure all DFA / DFM / DFS studies are done and design is meeting the requirements3. Define simulation use cases along with engineer based on customer usage, review results and identify risks4. Understand all product level requirements / specifications ((Suspensions, Brakes & Tyres) and ensure they are properly addressed in design5. Ensure lessons learned from previous programs are implemented in current program6. Ensure process recommendations from DFMEA are addressed in PFMEA and design recommendations from PFMEA are closed7. Identify testing requirements, align on effective testing strategy with PV Labs and ensure tests are effectively completed8. Identify all critical CTQs from HoQ and ensure capability is addressed sufficiently both in design and process9. Identify risks from above actions, evaluate, prioritize and table the same to the CFT10. Participate in Pre-PPAP and PPAP audits & ensure all product requirements are sufficiently addressed in process11. Lead bug resolution process by identified root cause, conducting simulation trials, identifying and validating countermeasure12. Ensure all stage gate requirements are met during product development13. Work with Factory team during later stages of development and ensure teething issues are resolved

Mass Production:1. Prioritize field complaints by assessing the reported issue and initiate containment actions2. Conduct process audit at supplier and Ather factory for reported complaints and ensure adherence to standard process3. Lead bug resolution process by identified root cause, conducting simulation trials, identifying and validating countermeasure4. Drive CFT for problem resolution and document resolution progress through live 8D report5. Assess impact of issue and initiate field recalls if necessary6. Prepare COP plan along with CFT and lead bug resolution, if any.

Strong in mechanical design concepts (Suspensions, Brakes & Tyres)
Strong in problem solving and Cross functional team work experience
Ability to read and understand CAD, FEA simulation results and tolerance stack up
Hands on with measuring instruments
Strong in data analysis
Good in system level thinking
Strong in communication skills: No vagueness
Experience with DFMEA, FMA, APQP and other quality control tools and methods
Aware of product development cycle
Good in hustling through different tasks and get things done
Passion to make a difference
You bring to Ather:

B-Tech/M-Tech in Mechanical engineering, Production engineering or equivalent.

4 – 5 years of relevant experience in new product development
