Product Quality Engineer

You’ll be our: Field Product Quality Engineer (Mechanical)

You’ll be based at: Hosur Battery plant.

What you’ll do at Ather:

Record and document all field reported customer quality issues pertaining to mechanical / electrical hardware across the product line
Be a functional owner for customer quality team to execute functional responsibilities of field customer quality
Lead as primary contact for the field to design feedback for Ather Products
Coordinate with Development teams stakeholders for detailed analysis of field issues to disintegrate them into supplier quality/ design/ manufacturing quality categories
Coordinate with swimlanes for detailed unique identification of each failure mode to trigger needful corrective actions
Closely work with field service and area service managers to identify reporting of issues with maximum clarity
Ensure service and maintenance technical information availability with field team
Closely monitor and identify service oriented quality concern during new product development
Develop, Upgrade, and maintain a continuous communication system for quality management & requirements flow for field service teams
Work closely with respective stakeholders across the functions to ensure compliance and quality of service quality, SOPs, CAFVs clarifications, and needful handholding of ASMs.

Here’s what we are looking for:

In-depth understanding of product quality framework and quality control processes – 8D process, service operations and warranty management processes
Expertise to identify customer issues and align needful communication to stakeholders
Experience in working remotely in the field with various stakeholders including internal and external partners
Lead and develop continuous monitoring mechanisms for field quality improvement
Understating international regulations and their trends and liaising with local govt. agencies to ensure timely updates of Indian regulations
Expertise to communicate insights of field quality status
Guidance on design & testing points towards service and field quality issues
What you bring to Ather:

5-8 years of work experience in Mechanical
Diploma/Graduation in Mechanical
