The Database Performance Tuning Administrator provide Oracle engineering, design and administration services to several large-scale important Oracle ERP and database application and environments. Who you’ll work with

The Database & Business Platform Services team is looking for a highly motivated Database Performance tuning authority to join the team. The team provides reliable, scalable, and secured Oracle databases and ERP environments by collaborating with global multi-functional IT and Engineering teams using next-gen tools, processes, and personnel.

Who you are.

We are looking for hardworking and aspiring individuals who are looking to assist in tuning the Oracle and ERP Database for operation excellency. As a Database Performance tuning authority, you will need have prior experience in tuning on high critically important Oracle and ERP Databases while ensuring their optimal performance, security, and scalability. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions to support our applications and business operations.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or relevant work experience.
Administration of Oracle Databases especially 12c,19c with hands-on experience on support & implementation high availability & disaster recovery with Oracle Grid, Data Guard, etc.
Hands-on experience in Oracle EBS R12, Fusion Middleware administration, DB & ERP-Apps side performance tuning.
Ability to perform Oracle ERP DB & apps cloning, installation, configuration, patching, upgrades on Cisco UCS/Linux and Support 3rd party apps.

Preferred Qualifications

4+ years of IT experience in Oracle ASM & RAC, Oracle Active Data Guard, RMAN backup/recovery, Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c; Shell & SQL, PL/SQL scripting skills, capacity planning, & DB space management.
Experience and knowledge of SQL queries and SQL Trace/Explain plans, SQL performance tuning. Setting Oracle parameters, and options.
Systems Analysis and Performance tuning (Oracle Database 12c,11g,10g, 9i, Application SQL and PL/SQL code tuning).
Perform database tuning by using various tools such as ADDM from AWR, OEM and Dynamic Performance Views.
Experience in Scaled Agile Framework, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery framework along with exposure to toolset such as Jenkins, Git/BitBucket and JIRA will be an added advantage.
Knowledge and operational experience of NOSQL databases like Cassandra, MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL will be an added advantage.
Golden Gate replication administration skillset will be an added plus.

For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Individual pay is determined by the candidate’s hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
