Senior Vehicle Test Engineer

Your tasks
As a 2-Wheeler Test Engineer specializing in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) functions, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, functionality, and testing of ADAS features specifically designed for two-wheeled vehicles. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, testing personnel to conduct comprehensive testing and validation of ADAS algorithms, and systems.

Main Focus:

Conduct comprehensive test rides on motorcycles, focusing on performance, handling, and safety aspects.
Possess expert-level skills in handling powerful 1000 cc + motorcycles, understanding their dynamics and capabilities.
Navigate bikes skillfully through curves, bends, and corners, assessing their stability and responsiveness under different riding condition.
Test Execution:

Execute test cases to validate the performance, accuracy, and robustness of ADAS algorithms in simulated and real-world riding conditions.  Usage of reference system for testing
Utilize testing tools, equipment, and methodologies to conduct functional, regression, and performance testing.
Data Collection and Analysis:

Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to identify issues, anomalies, and areas for improvement in ADAS functionality.
Work closely with data analysis team to correlate test results with system behavior and performance metrics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with software developers, and other stakeholders to understand system architecture, requirements, and constraints
Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and other cross-functional meetings to provide input on ADAS feature implementation and integration
Test Reporting and Tracking

Document and report software defects, anomalies, and test findings using issue tracking systems.
Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and resolve identified issues in a timely manner.
Continuous Improvement and Agile mindset:

Stay updated with the latest advancements in ADAS technology, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
Propose and implement process improvements, tools, and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness

Your profile
Technical Education: Background in automotive domain, Mtech/Btech/BE in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automotive.
Previous Testing Experience: Prior experience in motorcycle testing or racing would be advantage.
Motorcycle Enthusiast: Genuine passion for motorcycles and the automotive industry.

Experience in Python, Vector canoe
Experience in ADAS system test
Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies

Experience with vehicle dynamics, control systems, and embedded software development
Knowledge of relevant automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) and functional safety concepts
Familiarity with software testing standards (e.g., ISTQB certification)
Good understanding of motorcycle architecture, mechanics, and performance dynamics
Good understanding of ADAS algorithms, Radar and ADAS functionalities
