🎯 About the Role: Diploma Engineer Trainee (EI)

The Diploma Engineer Trainee (DET) program is designed to groom technically inclined women candidates for field-level engineering roles. At Schindler, our DETs play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of elevators and escalators—products that millions of people use daily.

As a DET, you’ll be working closely with senior engineers, project leads, and service heads to manage field operations, plan maintenance, and assist in installation and troubleshooting. You’ll also learn the use of advanced tools and digital platforms, which are integral to our smart maintenance system.

Project management starts at the grassroots level. You will:

  • Ensure timely execution of tasks and coordinate resources effectively.

  • Learn how to align your schedule with team goals and customer expectations.

4. Data Management and Reporting

You will be responsible for:

  • Capturing field data, analyzing fault logs, and inputting service updates into the system.

  • Generating reports based on findings and ensuring they are submitted to your team leads within deadlines.

  • Playing a key role in field documentation and audit preparedness.

5. Customer and Team Communication

Smooth project delivery depends on excellent communication. You will:

  • Interact with internal teams for updates, approvals, and technical clarifications.
