Job Description
Overall Responsibilities And Duties:
Establish the Bill of Material and technical files associated.
Set up the best work frame with our customer platforms in order to facilitate a smooth collaboration and successful control of the concept engineering deliverables.
Interface with platforms and Engineering functions to define and deploy appropriate support to our customer division.
Drive all tasks associated to the definition and choice of a concept, interfacing with the various departments (Design, industrial design, Product Engineering, Innovation, GTS, Marketing, Costing..)
Search, filter and gather information on the state of the art on a given segment or technology (Benchmarking, processes, patent status ).
Validate the results of the investigated and selected concept according to program targets, product attributes, cost targets, design and manufacturing feasibility, risk analysis processes.
Seek the technical solutions answering the specifications, the definition of the product
Documentation performance with respect to minutes of meetings, call reports and the distribution of relevant documents.
Selection of all process technologies in accordance with the project team / GTS.
Understand customer constraints and specifications & applicable regulation.
Ensure process feasibility of the product design and A-Surfaces (with Engineering team if needed).
Faurecia Product & process Standards and Guidelines.
Co-responsibility for technical presentations and submission of quotes.
Define the Concept design, typical sections, define technical solutions and CAD data (2D & 3D).
RPS ,Tolerance stack book ,GD&T .
Perform PPCS with the GTS team and carry out PPDR1&2 as per the process defined.
To uphold & abide by code of ethics & Management
Offshore : Able to guide the concept engineer & deliver the Dtask from other concept engineering team.
Offshore : Submission of hours in appropriate system and negotiation of the delivery dates, efforts with counter parts.
AUTHORITY:
To validate the work results of the Concept engineer.
Performance tracking offshore activities and support ongoing domestic acquisitions.
Negotiation with counter part on matters pertaining to delivery date, deliverables and billable hours.
The main missions of the role are:
Within the framework of program acquisitions the Concept Engineer is responsible for establishing and elaboration of all technical related to submissions or quotes. And to carryout the offshore Dtasks from other concept Engineering site within Faurecia.
On behalf of this task and during the course of the project the incumbent takes over responsibility for the compliance of deadlines, monitoring of progress and results according to all relevant, valid management systems of all necessary individual tasks in accordance with the Project Leader Concepts & Acquisitions respectively with the Acquisition Manager.
As part of acquisition process repsonsible to perform PPCS with the GTS team and carry out PPDR1&2 as per the process defined
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Minimum education level: Bachelors Degree or Masters in mechanical/ automobile/ production
Experience :
Bachelors Degree or Masters in mechanical/ automobile/ production with prior experience of minimum 6 years mainly in automotive interiors with exposure various process and products related to Interiors.
Experience in Design & Development within an industrial environment, ideally in the automotive industry.
Overview of manufacturing methods in FIS.
Team player with strong communication skills & international mindset.
