Job Purpose:

The main purpose of the role is to support new product engineering activities. This will include design & development of new products, validation by prototype and testing. The job holder will bring their knowledge in all aspects of Mechanical / Electrical engineering.

Graduate Engineering Trainee

Key accountabilities:

1.    Get trained on Lucy PLM and CAD system. Follow design processes developed by Lucy engineering team and prepare drawings, bill of material using the Lucy PLM & CAD system

2.    Prepare micro plan and execute the allocated design activities within specified timeline and budget

3.    To design part and assembly keeping cost to a minimum and without compromising the quality

4.    To learn simulation / design calculations and apply in design

5.    Get trained on E-mail etiquettes, Presentation skills, Communication skills, Time management to exhibits different skills in work

6.    Get trained on prototyping and testing. Participate in the prototypes to follow the internal/external testing schedules. Witness internal/external testing as per requirement

7.    Preparing design documentation

8.    Participate in the DFMEA considering design failure mode at various stages

Job Context:

The position is responsible to execute allocated engineering designs and other related activities which is define through project scope. Working as a individual contributor within the team, who execute all the necessary activities to maintain the requirements mentioned in project scope.

The job holder is also responsible for participation in required internal and external testing as per requirement.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical / Mechanical

Minimum Experience: Fresh candidate

Job-Specific Skills: Understanding of electrical / mechanical fundamentals, Understanding of electrical schematics and/or mechanical linkages, Knowledge of standard material properties, Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes

Behavioural Competencies: Positive attitude, Good communication skills, Positive learning attitude, Develop and maintain effective relationship with internal & external stakeholders.
