Job Title:- Associate Engineer

Location:- Bangalore

 

Job Summary:

The purpose of the role is to provide technical & commercial proposals to customers. Which is also know is “Engineering Projects” or “Tooling Projects”. The technical proposal contains the KMT tooling solutions that enable our customers to solve their machining problems or challenges. The role will offer solutions to all types of end user customers like Aero, Auto, Gen. Eng., etc..

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

Develop machining process, toolpath strategies and tooling solutions for wide range of industrial components.
Calculate ‘Machining Time’, ‘Tool Cost’ and ‘Cost Per Part’.
Estimate ‘Cutting Parameter’, ‘Cutting Force’, required ‘Power’ & ‘Torque’.
Simulate machining strategy using ESPRIT.
Generate quotation and prepare technical presentation.
‘Prove-Out’ the tools at customer.
Own the ‘Engineering Project” from Pre-Sale to Closure.
Years of Relevant Work Experience Required: 8-10 Years

 

Preferred Areas of Education, Certifications, and Skills:

BE Mech./ B.Tech. Mech. or Diploma in Tool & Die Making.
Knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with ‘Mechanics of Metal Cutting.
Familiarity with capabilities, & limitations of all types of conventional and CNC machines.
Proficiency in CNC programming.
Application & Troubleshooting knowledge of “Metal Cutting” Tools.
Knowledge of engineering materials, tool materials, & coatings.
Knowledge of various Quality Control and Inspection Tools & Techniques.
Hands on skill of ‘Engineering Drawing’ for manufacturing.
Proficiency in AutoCAD & NX
Knowledge of ‘Design for Manufacturing’(DFM).
Familiarity with ‘Finite Element Analysis’ (FEA).
Should be Good at ‘Project Management’.
Must be a good communicator and presenter
Analytical thinker, & systematic problem solver.
