Stakeholders rely on knowledge and expertise of the Market Research Team to provide direction and guidance as it relates to their business needs.  The role of a Market Research Analyst is to ensure fulfillment of project specifications, build and support recurring deliverables, support ad-hoc requests and provide support to the stakeholders. The candidate should be able to analyze autonomously qualitative and quantitative data, trends, and competition. Responsible for developing market insights, analytics, reports, and intelligence to support the strategic decision-making of the Molex-MPS (Medical & Pharma Solutions) business division.

What You Will Do

•Understand stakeholder requirements/project scope to support consulting projects for different pharma/medical devices/healthcare segments in the area of (but not limited to) Market landscaping, Competitive Intelligence, Pipeline Analysis, Account Intelligence, Technology Assessment etc.

•Monitor industry news, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to stay updated on the latest trends and their impact on the organization. Analyze findings for relevant trends, patterns and insights and apply them to help the team arrive at solutions/recommendations.

•Previous experience in working on healthcare consulting project including disease landscapes, product pipeline reports, competitive benchmarking, company profiling, SWOT analysis, product planning, technology assessment etc.

•Secondary market research and data capturing from databases, company IR calls, press release, medical conferences, scientific literature, clinical trials etc.

•Research, analyze, interpret data and respond to client inquiries that may be complex and non-routine.

•Collect and synthesize business information to generate meaningful insights for stakeholders on various customized requests from publicly available resources and subscribed databases.

•Leverage GenAI tools to streamline data collection and synthesis, while triangulating data/data sources to ensure accuracy. Continuously seek opportunities to apply GenAI to enhance work approach and deliverables.

•Interact and collaborate seamlessly with team members to ensure delivery of high – quality strategy consulting assignments.

•Take complete ownership of the modules assigned. Present findings in a crisp, well structured, and synthesized format and in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct business English (both written and verbal) for easy understanding

•Proficiency in managing projects related (but not limited to) to:

o            Company Profiling: Business segments, strategy, issues /challenges, M&A history, competitive positioning, organization structure, recent developments, SWOT, basic understanding of the key financial parameters of a company.

o            Market specific: Industry trends, value chain, size and growth outlook, challenges, competitive landscape, Porters /PESTLE analysis.

o            Competitor Analysis: Comparative performance of companies on financial and operational KPIs, strengths and weaknesses

•Independently handle multiple projects, with minimal supervision from Manager/Lead Analyst.

•Ability to work with databases such as GlobalData, PharmaCircle, Feedly, CapitalIQ, ClinicalTrials.gov., etc., proactively reaching out to respective support teams to receive guidance on training and best practices for locating data with aim of achieving desired outcomes when using the database services.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

5-7 years of work experience in healthcare market research with focus on Pharma/Medical Devices and related healthcare domains is a MUST.
Candidate should have good knowledge of healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape.
What Will Put You Ahead

Proven Healthcare Market Research Analysis experience.
Healthcare Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of healthcare processes, regulations, and the US/Europe/APAC healthcare system. Regulatory Understanding – Drug Approvals, Patent expiries etc.
Problem solving and analytical and critical thinking skills with proven proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and application of MS Copilot within the MS ecosystem.
Understanding of company financial data, sales data & number crunching.
Data validation and accuracy acumen.
Consistent application of formatting skills to ensure quality and aesthetics of deliverables.
Knowledge of commonly used basic strategic analysis tools.
Proficient in AI usage:  leverage AI tools to improve the quality and efficiency of deliverables.
Strong, clear communication skills, both spoken and written.
Good interpersonal and organizational skills and the capacity to work both independently and within a team.
SQL, Python, and PowerBI skills a plus.
