Job Description
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.

Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of experience with software development.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related engineering field.
Proficient at programming in Java, and at least one other major programming / scripting language.
Distributed systems fundamentals.
Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional, global team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience using, and ideally developing, code generation software.
Experience using IaaS and PaaS cloud services offered by a major cloud services provider.
Strong working experience on: GitHub/Bitbucket, TeamCity/Hudson, Maven/Gradle.
Experience with production operations and best practices for putting quality code in production and troubleshoot issues when they arise.
Able to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams and presentations).
Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related engineering field.

We build SDKs and client tools like CLI, for new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our mission is to give our customers best-in-class SDKs / client tools to build and manage their cloud infrastructure. We’re looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in building APIs, plugins, and tools to support Java, Python, Go, TypeScript / JavaScript, Ruby, .NET / C#, and PowerShell programming languages, as well as Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, IntellJ, and other development environments. There is a significant scope to develop your breadth and depth of skills in this role.
As a Member of Technical Staff you will own and lead a portion of the overall software architecture and development for components of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure. You should be comfortable with multiple programming languages, SDKs, and development environments, be able to architect broad systems interactions, be hands-on, be able to dive deep into any part of the stack, and have a sense for what makes for a great developer experience. You should value simplicity and impact, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. You should be able to accept ambiguity, have a strong sense of ownership, and drive development of new projects and features to completion.
Qualifications
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
