Main Purpose

Seeking a talented and experienced Ansible/AWX Coder and Developer to join our Compute and DB team under IT Operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge infrastructure projects, automate existing day-to-day workflows and contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities

Accountabilities

Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks and AWX workflows to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and architect automation solutions.
Implement best practices for code versioning, testing, and deployment within Ansible/AWX environments.
Troubleshoot and debug automation scripts to ensure smooth operation and reliability.
Continuously optimize and improve existing automation workflows for efficiency and scalability.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to Ansible/AWX automation.
AWX/Ansible Tower Administration: installation, configuration, and maintenance of AWX/Ansible Tower infrastructure.
Support the deployment of Ansible automation on IT Infrastructure (Compute and DB) environments.
Develop, test, and maintain Ansible playbooks and Python scripts to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
Proficiency in using IaC: YAML. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and IDE: Visual Studio.
Experience in Azure DevOps and understanding of observability tools.
Expert knowledge and understanding of technologies related to infrastructure engineering.

Qualifications

Key Skills / Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
8 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Automation Engineer, or similar role.
Strong proficiency in Ansible and AWX, including playbook development, inventory management, and job scheduling.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration and networking principles.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
