Your new role
As our new Principal Engineer, Aviation, REC,Your roles and responsibilities will be .
Role: Airport Designer & Team Leader/Coordinator for two younger staff (expectedly the team will grow)Responsibilities:Prepare airport designs within earthworks/geometry and/or pavements, with primary focus on 3D modelling.
Coordinate design and drawings production for concept and detailed designs of airports
Prepare estimates of hours to complete certain design tasks, for use in proposals
Act as contact point between our Denmark-based Aviation Team and the Aviation Design Team in India
Coordinate workload within the Aviation Design Team in India
QA of the work produced by younger staff members
Be a source of technical and general learning for the younger staff
Years of experience range – 10 years minimum, 5 of these in roads or preferably in airport/aviation projects
Key competencies and skills – Experience with civil works 3D design in roads or preferably airports, including earthworks/geometry and/or pavements
Preparation of designs, CAD models and drawings.
Expert knowledge of 3D design a must including alignments, corridors, templates & assemblies, and general terrain modelling.
Software experiences – Expert capability in use of both OpenRoads and Civil 3D. Capability in use of ProjectWise.
Experience with vehicle simulation software such as AviPLAN or AutoTURN is a benefit.
