Experience range (Years) 3 years – 5 years
¢Having Knowledge on Melting Process and Casting Process
¢ Understand the necessary production plan and translate the same to optimize melting Plan for GDC.
¢ Ensure availability of good quality molten metal in the line by setting furnace parameters i.e. temperature, time, heat chemistry etc.
¢ Review furnace check sheet periodically to ensure adherence to standard parameters
¢ Coordinate with stores for timely issue of Raw Materials, spares and consumables
¢ Prepare sample for Spectron analysis to analyze Chemical Composition of the melt
¢ Coordinate with external vendor for timey procurement of molten metal and ensuring availability of good quality metal in the line
¢ Monitor recovery of BOS during rejection re-melting
¢ Prepare PM Schedule for refractory linings of all the furnaces
¢ Ensure adherence to PM schedule of holding and melting furnaces
¢ Formulate furnace cleaning plan and ensure execution
¢ Implement efficient and effective internal control systems, to keep track of the performance of equipment and take necessary actions to improve efficiency
¢ Prepare MIS for Aluminum Consumption & Melting related consumables
¢ Plan & incorporate R&D modifications & new product initiatives in production process
¢ Lead implementation of key process improvement initiatives to be taken-up (such as ISO, TPM, TQM etc) from time to time in the melting section
¢ Take overall responsibility to ensure adherence to Safety standards by all employees and establish zero accident in the melting section
¢ Monitor indent raising and Purchase Department requests related to the melting section
¢ Implement various business excellence techniques like Kaizen, 5S initiatives, etc.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of Experience in Melting.
