Role Purpose:

Rockwell Automation’s Salesforce enables Software and Service contracts and renewal process  and is a critical application for  company’s digital transformation to enable annual recurring revenue.
As a talented and passionate member of an agile capability team you will have the opportunity to design, develop and deploy leading edge engineering and product configuration solutions that will deliver value to our customers. The team leverages multiple technologies including Azure cloud to deliver these new innovative solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

The SalesForce . Engineer is responsible for successfully designing and implementing solutions that enables business objectives and outcomes. The technologies include–but are not necessarily limited to Salesforce.com products and APIs, Apex/Visualforce, Lightning, and integration/ETL technologies. The Sr. Engineer would also serve in a SF platform solution expert & maintains an ongoing comprehensive understanding of the cloud-computing ecosystem. Engages with Solution architects in designing capabilities by leveraging the SalesForce platform to address business needs and simplifying the integrations with other Rockwell systems.

 

Work closely with Delivery Managers, Business Partners, Business Process Owners, business analysts, developers to design solutions to meet business needs in accordance with industry best practices
Work collaboratively and apply strong communications skills in facilitating technical discussions and presentations
Play the role of a technical SME in internal strategic initiatives to grow the platform
Serve as an active contributor to the overall knowledge base and expertise of the SalesForce platform.
Specializes in gathering and analyzing information and designing comprehensive solutions that are flexible and adaptable.
Soft skills and ability to interact with business and technical stakeholders to discuss needs and opportunities and translate them into solutions.
Provide oversight, coach and mentor junior members on the team to apply best practices, including estimating work, test driven development practices, configuration over customization etc. Teams would include vendor partners as well.
Serve in a release manager capacity as needed to plan and lead the team through releases.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering, or related field
Minimum 5 yrs of experience as  a salesforce developer
Salesforce Expertise:

Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform and its various components.
Proficiency in Apex programming language for custom development.
Experience with Salesforce Lightning and Lightning Components.
Understanding of Salesforce data model and security model.
CPQ Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of Salesforce CPQ (formerly known as Steelbrick CPQ).
Ability to configure and customize CPQ solutions based on business requirements.
Experience with Price Rules, Discount Schedules, Product Rules, and other CPQ functionalities.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in programming languages such as Apex, Visualforce, and JavaScript.
Knowledge of web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React).
Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs for integrating Salesforce with other systems.
Experience in Service cloud.
Experience in Case Management &Knowledge Management.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Integration Skills:

Experience in integrating Salesforce CPQ with other business systems, such as ERP or billing platforms.
Knowledge of middleware tools like MuleSoft or Salesforce Integration Cloud.
Customization and Configuration:

Proficiency in customizing Salesforce CPQ objects, layouts, and workflows.
Ability to create custom validation rules, triggers, and automation.
Testing and Debugging:

Thorough testing and debugging skills to ensure the stability and reliability of CPQ solutions.
