Job Purpose:
The Tech Specialist Process Engineer is an experienced process engineer with relevant experience and domain knowledge on several refining technologies.

Team Lead would lead a group of Process Engineers supporting  a variety of process engineering activities within the Technology organization of an asset supporting the asset’s production units. The activities of Process Engineers are deeply integrated into the site work processes and requires deep collaboration with other disciplines and departments in the site.

Accountability

1.Technical and operation support to Shell sites in CCR Naphtha Reforming

 

Evaluation of regular detailed operating summaries to rigorously track and improve unit performance
Troubleshooting and advice on mitigation and recovery from operational upsets
Advice on, and comparative evaluation of, future operating strategies
Providing training in process technology and modelling
Support to refineries for complex refining process technology issues
2.MOCs

Work on minor to medium scale MOCs to bring out technical changes to the unit
3. Catalysts & Adsorbent Evaluation

Maintain knowledge of new catalyst developments
Assess potential value of new industry developments for Shell-advised sites
4. Custodian of process engineering tools in Cat Reforming, responsible for developing and upkeep of process engineering tools

Maintain process engineering tools in a reliable and accessible state
Adapt tools to changing demands
Evaluate and implement requests for changes

Requirements

Relevant Educational background (e.g., Chemical Engineering)
The position requires a person with minimum ~ 8 years of manufacturing/technology experience (in CCR Naphtha Reforming) and minimum 4 years of experience in Cat Reforming.
Past experience in developing, managing or maintaining process engineering tool would be an added advantage
