Software Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI semantic models and reports to provide data insights and visualizations for business users, utilizing Snowflake as primary data sources
  • Design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions crafting and executing queries upon request for data
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, and translate them into technical specifications and data models
  • Build and maintain data pipelines using Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
  • Develop and implement data integration solutions leveraging Azure Cloud, Snowflake, and Azure Data Warehouse technologies
  • Utilize Python and other programming languages for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis
  • Utilize Databricks for data engineering and advanced analytics tasks
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy through data validation and testing methodologies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, performance bottlenecks, and system errors
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data engineering, Power BI, Snowflake, and Azure Cloud technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and software developers, to deliver end-to-end data and analytics solutions
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Software Engineer

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering roles, with a focus on Power BI, Snowflake
  • Experience with ETL processes and data integration using Azure Data Factory
  • Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with Power BI semantic model creation, report development, and data visualization using Snowflake
  • Solid programming skills in Python, SQL, and other scripting languages
  • Familiarity with Databricks for data engineering, advanced analytics, and machine learning tasks
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts and relational database systems, with expertise in Snowflake
  • Proven excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues
  • Proven solid communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred Qualification:

  • Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Azure Cloud, Snowflake, or related fields
