Purpose
UGNX, cutter selection, Types of cutting path, Post processor, Electrodes 3D model generation, Core cavity Insert machining optimization, CAM
Key Responsibility
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, and specifications
Determine best methods for setting up and machining a part, Machining parameter optimizations
Hands on Experience in CNC Machine (VMC) operation (3, 5 axis) – FANUC / Heidenhain / Siemens control.
Use of UG to create part models and geometry as needed
Right Cutter selection, Tool path generation and post processing.
Achieve productivity, Quality, Cost and delivery Optimization by effective CAM programming.
Train and Assist machine operators to read and programming sheet instructions.
Decide 3D Part modelling, Tool selection, Tool path generation, Simulation and post processing using UG NX, for 3, 5 axis CNC Machines.
Ensure safety in all the CAM program carried out.
Maintain and sustain 5S work Practices relevant to CAM programming.
Optimize the CAM program and improve on Cutter life, Machining cycle time, Cost of manufacturing.
Qualification
Degree in Mechanical Engg., / Diploma in Mechanical engineering / Production / Tool and Die making / NTTF / CITD / CIPET / GTTC.
Experience
10 to 15 years
Additional Technical Requirements
Good knowledge in Precision Plastic Insert Injection Mold elements manufacturing.
Surface finish knowledge
Electrode design, inspection knowledge & Quality requirements.
Hard part machining
UG NX software Hands on Experience
