Job Description
- Assist in configuring, deploying, and maintaining Fortigate firewalls for clients and internal networks.
- Perform basic security assessments and implement security best practices to safeguard client systems. Trainee Network Security Engineer
- Respond to security incidents and participate in root-cause analysis to mitigate risks.
- Implement basic network topologies, including LANs and WANs.
- Configure network protocols like TCP/IP, IP addressing, and routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, EIGRP).
- Set up and configure network security features, such as firewalls and access control lists (ACLs).
- Monitor network performance and identify potential issues using tools like Cisco CLI and SNMP.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and resolve network outages.
- Provide technical support to end-users for network-related issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Basic understanding of network security concepts (firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, etc.).
- Familiarity with Fortigate firewalls is preferred.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and OSI model is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Fortinet NSE 1/NSE 2 or similar cybersecurity certifications are preferred.
- Hands-on experience (internship, project work, or self-learning) with network security tools or firewalls are preferred. Trainee Network Security Engineer
