Position description: The Analyst – ERG will work as an integral part of the larger business strategy & planning team, performing high-end analysis and providing business recommendations to the tactical planning team.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Develop industry specific forecasting models
Develop econometric models and forecast the annual and medium-term demand of two-wheeler industry on segmental, category and geography levels.
Evolve robust models to deal with industry cycle, data volatility and error randomness.
Forecast growth trends of micro and macro-economic variables.
Evaluate model effectiveness and re-train the model to Eincorporate changes in the environment to minimize forecasting error.
Provide 3 months rolling estimates.
Establish the drivers of growth and capture changes in socio-economic factors to predict the state’s two-wheeler market.
2. Improve industry forecast by reducing error and variance
Undertaking variance analysis of forecasts and prepare a summary report leading to the variance.
3. Plan effective scenarios based on sound market understanding
Undertake in depth research in to focused areas of macro-economic environment to track the trend of demand driver on a regular basis.
Provide a scan of macro and micro economy drivers.
Analyze data relating to consumer environment and identify emerging changes in consumer behavior.
Predicting the growth, behavior and mobility needs of identified consumer clusters, considering the changing economic climate.
Establish value chain sectoral and cross sectoral relation and its impact on sales.
4. Provide reports covering actionable business insight using economy, consumer and Auto Industry data

Monsoon Monitor
Consumer Economy Report
Mobility Report
5. Interact regularly with SIAM and liaise with other external research agencies
Liaising with economists and subject matter expert in understanding domestic and global macro-economic environment.
