Job Description
Purpose of this role
· Lead Frame & Other Structural parts Design Team of one segment of Motorcycle / Scooters.
Role Description:
· Responsible for the functional team of Frame and other structural parts (Foot Rests, Swing arm, Handle Bar, etc.) for one segment of vehicles
· Deliver Design and drawings meeting Quality, Performance, Cost & Delivery targets for the functional group.
· Ownership of complete process of design release in terms of FDR, TDR, DFMEA, DFX analysis and documentation.
· Manage a team of engineers, identify their strengths and areas of improvement and mentor them to improve both technically and personally.
· Develop Long range plans including new technologies, materials for Frame and other structural parts.
· Sound Knowledge of Testing, both performance & Durability.
· Sound Knowledge on manufacturing process – Casting, Forging, Fabrication & Welding
· Good two-wheeler riding skill is an advantage.
· Experience in Project Management is an added advantage.
Details of certification courses/trainings
· Bachelor’s/master’s degree in mechanical engineering
· Should have good motorcycle design experience in OEM R&D.
· Should have worked in design of Frame, Footrests, Swingarm, Handle bars hands on at least for 5 years
· Should have experience of managing a team.
