About the role

Role:                                 Lead Hardware Design Engineer

The Lead Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for defining and designing State-of-the-art hardware products meeting Cost, Reliability and Global standards by following best industry practices.

 

 

Job Responsibilities

Ø  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements for infotainment systems, VCU, Telematics unit.

Ø  Develop state-of-the-art architecture for hardware components which meets cost ,Reliability and Regulatory requirements

Ø  Work along with hardware design engineers and create schematics.

Ø  Review PCB layout plan, PCB Design and Gerber files for thermal, EMI/EMC, Signal Integrity and power Integrity.

Ø  Work with PCB design engineers and mechanical engineers to deliver hardware according to customer requirements.

Ø  Review worst case design analysis.

Ø  Perform reliability analysis.

Ø  Perform costing analysis for the final Bill of Material

Ø  Perform DFMEA along with all the stakeholders.

Ø  Create design verification plan.

Ø  Review test reports.

Ø  Work with Testing Engineers for verification and validation of the designed hardware.

Qualification

Educational Qualification: BE/BTech/M.Tech

 

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

 

Ø  8-12 years of good expertise and experience on automotive instrument cluster hardware design

Ø  Proven experience across all stages of Hardware Product Development Lifecycle.

Ø  Familiarity with processors/controllers such as Renesas, NXP, ST, Microchip, TI, Qualcomm, MediaTek, and NXP etc.

Ø  Expertise in high-speed board design, multi-layer board design, and signal integrity and Power Integrity.

Ø  Proficiency in SMPS designs, high-voltage power design, analog, and mixed-signal design.

Ø  Knowledge of interfaces like CAN, LIN, USB, I2C, UART, LVDS, MIPI, Automotive Ethernet etc..

Ø  Expertise in RF designs -BT, Wi-Fi, Cellular technologies

Ø  Experience in SOC based designs, Chip on board designs.

Ø  Experience in homologation and RF certifications (EMI/EMC compliance) in Domestic and International markets.

Ø  Proficiency in tools like ORCAD, ALLEGRO and ALTIUM

Ø  Competency in using lab instruments like multi-meters, oscilloscopes, function generators, and logic analyzers.

Ø  ISO26262 certification

Ø  Experience in AGILE methodologies.

 

Advantage Experiences:

Ø  Experience in design of functional safety ECU’s meeting ISO26262 requirements.

Ø  Experience in advanced technology projects like ARAS, Sensor fusion
